Pet Peeves

As "danger invites rescue," driving invites vigilance. Colorado’s driving handbook suggests keeping a "three-second" distance from the car ahead. That allows enough time, and distance, to avoid rear-ending the car ahead. So why do drivers in the next lane drive just fast enough to be ahead but just enough to slip in that nice safe space you’d maintained? That’s my "pet peeve." The "May I Cut You Off" maneuver Denver drivers have mastered.

Folks, let’s be careful out there and not play the May I Cut You Off game? We can all breathe easier and drive safer.

And please send me your Pet Peeves so we can spread the word how we can all drive a bit safer. Remember: every case going to court involves insurance, so everything we can collectively do to keep insurance affordable will help all of us.
